This programme is designed to enable students to achieve A 2 level of linguistic competencies. It means that after attending and successfully concluding their B1 in English, learners should show the following overall competencies:

This program is aimed at enabling students to achieve A2 level of linguistic competencies. It means that after attending and successfully concluding English level A 2 by:

  1. Functioning in social situations. They should be able to use polite forms of greetings; ask for and give detailed information about general things in their vicinity.
  2. Holding short conversations about general topics.
  3. Making simple transactions at banks, post offices and shops etc.
  4. Obtaining basic information about everyday activities like asking for bus timings and buying tickets at a bus terminal.
  5. Reacting to news and hold simple conversations about them.

Programme Learning Outcomes

Specifically, the successful students of this program should be able to achieve the following language proficiency/competency levels in English:

  1. They should be able to understand written and spoken sentences and frequently used expressions related to the areas most relevant to them. These areas include personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment, schools, colleges and universities.
  2. They should be able to perform simple and routine tasks requiring simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routing matters.
  3. They should be able to describe their background using simple terms.
  4. They should be able to describe their immediate environment including places and events.

Program Description (IELTS)


Programme Learning Objectives

This program is aimed at enabling students to achieve A2 level of linguistic competencies. It means that after attending and successfully concluding English level A 2 by:

  1. To improve their listening, speaking, academic reading and writing skills;
  2. To develop test-taking strategies specifically for the IELTS test;
  3. To improve their IELTS test scores in all four skills.

Programme Learning Outcomes

  1. Prepare and understand the format of IELTS
  2. Recognize and overcome challenges presented in the IELTS exam;
  3. Prepare for the mechanics of the IELTS, for example, time allotted, format and order of questions.

What is the test Format?

IELTS consists of four modules. All candidates take the same Listening and Speaking Modules. There is a choice of Reading and Writing Modules according to whether a candidate is taking the Academic or General Training version of the test.

For candidates taking the test for entry to undergraduate or postgraduate studies or for professional reasons. For candidates taking the test for entry to vocational or training programmes not at degree level, for admission to secondary schools and for immigration purposes.
