The Bachelor of Science in Data Science (BSDS) program is designed to equip students with a strong foundation in data-driven decision making, statistical analysis, and computational techniques. This program emphasizes the integration of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and domain knowledge to extract meaningful insights from large and complex datasets. Graduates will be prepared for careers in data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence, business intelligence, and research, with a focus on solving real-world problems through innovative data-driven solutions.

Eligibility Criteria


Eligibilty

  • Intermediate (F. Sc/ICS) with 50% Marks
  • DAE in the relevant discipline with 60% Marks
  • Students with F. Sc (Pre-Medical) must pass 6 credit hours Math (deficiency courses) in the first year of BS Program.

  • PO-1: Apply analytical thinking, computational knowledge, and problem-solving skills to develop intelligent solutions and contribute to advancements in the field of data science.
  • PO-2: Demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and ethical professional practices in multidisciplinary and collaborative environments.
  • PO-3: Employ modern data science tools and technologies to solve societal, environmental, and business challenges, while embracing lifelong learning and continuous professional development.

1. Academic Education To prepare graduates as computing professionals
2. Knowledge for Solving Computing Problems Apply knowledge of computing fundamentals, knowledge of a computing specialization, and mathematics, science, and domain knowledge appropriate for the computing specialization to the abstraction and conceptualization of computing models from defined problems and requirements
3. Problem Analysis Identify, formulate, research literature, and solve complex computing problems reaching substantiated conclusions using fundamental principles of mathematics, computing sciences, and relevant domain disciplines
4. Design/Development of Solutions Design and evaluate solutions for complex computing problems, and design and evaluate systems, components, or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations
5. Modern Tool Usage Create, select, adapt and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern computing tools to complex computing activities, with an understanding of the limitations
6. Individual and Teamwork Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multi-disciplinary settings
