Board of Governors

BoG is the highest governing body of the University. It is supposed to meet at least twice during a year for regular or scheduled meetings and may meet at any other time at which a special meeting thereof may be called by the Chairman of the Board. Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) is the Chairman of the BoG, whereas Inspector General of Training and Evaluation (IGT&E), General Headquarters acts as the nominee of the COAS.

Following constitute the BOGs as follows

1. Director General Human Resource Development Directorate
2. Nominee of Chief Justice of Pakistan
3. Director General Joint Staff Headquarters
4. Rector NUML
5. Secretary Ministry of Defence or his nominee not below the rank of Joint Secretary
6. Secretary Ministry of Education or his nominee not below the rank of Joint Secretary
7. Secretary Ministry of Finance or his nominee not below the rank of Joint Secretary
8. Secretary Ministry of Foreign Affairs or his nominee not below the rank of Joint Secretary
9. Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC)
10. Director General NUML
11. Senior Dean or Professor of the University
12. One or two members from private sector with established credentials useful for the University to be nominated by the Board
13. Registrar/ Director Administration shall be member and secretary of the Board but not entitled to vote
14. The Chancellor may, in consultation with the Board appoint any other person including a linguist or educationist as member of the Board
15. The Board may direct any officer, member of faculty or any other person to be in attendance during all or any parts of its meetings
