The objective of the department of English studies is to produce scholars who are proficient in the use of English language. To that end, the program is devoted to the exposition of the students to the advancements made in the realm of English language and literature in contemporary context. The program employs the updated technological facilities and trains the students with the necessary research skills to make optimum use of the available resources. The chief aim is to foster curious and skeptic minds which contribute more to the existing knowledge and open new vistas for further research. Furthermore, the department encourages creative and critical abilities in students by offering diverse courses and research activities.
