Department of Media and Communication Studies was established in 2020. Since then, the department is committed to providing students with an enriching and comprehensive education and training in the field of media and communication. Our faculty members are highly qualified and experienced professionals in their respective fields, and they are dedicated to facilitating students with a supportive and stimulating learning environment. Our faculty is always available to guide and mentor students, and our state-of-the-art facilities offer students with hands-on experience in their chosen areas of study. We believe that a well-rounded education is essential for success in today's rapidly changing media landscape. Our programs not only train students with a solid foundation in media and communication but also offer a variety of opportunities for practical experiences, internships, and collaborations, allowing students to gain valuable real- world experiences. Our students are active within and outside the university through academic and co-curricular efforts, including membership in various students’ clubs and societies, internships, and collaborative research with faculty. Alumni of Media and Communication Studies have pursued a wide range of careers in public and private sector organizations across Pakistan.

An Overview

The department offers programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels including Bachelor's degree in Media and Communication Studies. Our programs are designed to develop students' interests, train and polish their skills in the media and communication, both in theoretical and practical frameworks. The department offers a range of specializations in communication and media, including Digital Media, Broadcast Media, Corporate and Strategic Communication, Drama and Film, Print Media and Communication Theory & Research. Our diverse specialized courses ensure that students have the opportunity to explore their specific areas of interest and develop their skills in a chosen field.
